Coaching & Officiating
Officials, and especially coaches, have a tremendous influence on players. In order to ensure a positive experience for all participants, we expect that coaches and officials will promote a fun, team environment in which players are encouraged and supported. They will also prioritize sportsmanship and character development over winning.
Requirements
-
Coaches and officials are required to complete an application and pass a background check in order to be considered.
-
Once selected, coaches will attend an orientation and coaching clinic. They will review and sign the Code of Conduct and learn about sport and Boys & Girls Club expectations.
-
Once selected, officials will undergo training on game rules and Boys & Girls Club expectations as well as review and sign the Code of Conduct.
