Meet the dynamic team leading the Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton County’s efforts to ensure every young person has the great future they deserve.
Chief Executive Officer
Matt joined the BGCBC team as the Chief Executive Officer in April 2019. Matt previously worked at Walmart, where he oversaw marketing activities for the Walmart brand including partnering with the Walmart Foundation on hunger and disaster relief initiatives. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 1992 and an MBA from Duke University in 2000. Matt is extremely passionate about the work he does at the Club because he loves kids and gets to see first-hand the positive impact the Boys & Girls Club program has on youth.
Director of Operations & Athletics
Kari began working at BGCBC in 2002 as a Youth Development Coordinator. Since then, she has worked in many roles including Program Manager, Assistant Director, Unit Director, and has served in her current role as the Athletic Director since 2015. Kari graduated from Oklahoma Wesleyan in 2007 with a degree in Physical Education. Kari strives to make a positive impact on all the youth we serve and to help them grow and reach their full potential.
Director of Finance & Human Resources
Hannah is an experienced accounting professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas and has worked across many industries from retail to non-profit. Hannah has a passion for being there for the kids that need us most and was a foster parent for 3 years, providing a stable environment for kids in transition.
Director of Programs
Ashley oversees all of the targeted programs for BGCBC. She is a Northwest Arkansas native who began her BGCBC career in 2007 as a Youth Development Coordinator. Ashley graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. She loves working at the Club because of the sense of belonging it provides for our members and the unique opportunities offered that support a bright future and help them reach their full potential.
Director of Marketing & Development
Debra came to NWA from Greenville, SC. Debra fell in love with storytelling at a young age. She has extensive experience in theatre, film, media, event design, and marketing. She has hosted her own local television shows and produced everything from small fundraising events to large scale festivals. She holds a B.A. in Communications – Journalism with a minor in Theatre from the University of South Carolina. Debra is thrilled to be a part of an organization focused on helping bring out best in everyone - and especially the youth of our community.
Senior Manager of Culture & Wellness
Sarah is an experienced childcare professional, with over 10 years working in various roles from Preschool Teacher at the YMCA in Wisconsin to Assistant Director at A Child’s World Learning Center in North Carolina. Prior to joining the BGCBC team, in 2020, Sarah worked as the Business Manager at Kids R Kids in Ohio. She graduated from Carthage College in Kenosha, WI in 2014 with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and Criminal Justice.
Grant / Donor Relations Manager
Jim joined BGCBC in August 2022. Jim previously worked for Tyson where he was on the Walmart & Sam’s team responsible for the bacon & processed meats categories.
Prior to Tyson, Jim worked at both Hormel Foods and Kellogg’s Foodservice Division in various management roles.
He is taking his corporate/vendor experience into his role as the Donor/Grants Manager for BGCBC, helping BGCBC get the resources required to continue its great mission of helping kids reach their full potential.
Jim graduated from Missouri State University and earned his MBA from the University of Dallas.
