Meet Holden: The Voice Behind Youth Unmuted

Holden is living proof of what happens when young people are given opportunity, encouragement, and a platform to lead. A senior at Gravette High School and a Boys & Girls Club member for nearly 12 years, he’s built an impressive list of accomplishments, from earning the title of 2022 Arkansas Youth of the Year to excelling as a varsity basketball and track athlete, and leading in organizations like FCCLA,FBLA, FCA, and Student Council. His journey has taken him from meeting change-makers like Common and WNBA legend Chamique Holdsclaw, to representing Arkansas youth on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. and serving as a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America National Youth Advisory Council.

Now, Holden steps into his newest leadership role as the teen host of Youth Unmuted.Through curiosity, authenticity, and a fearless approach to real conversation, he’s amplifying the voices of his peers and shining a light on the issues that matter most to today’s youth. Holden’s story, and the stories he’ll help tell, reflect exactly what the Boys & Girls Club ofBenton County strives to provide: safe spaces, supportive mentors, and opportunities that prepare teens for success in the workforce, in their communities, and in life.
